Our Flagship Project
Imagine a young girl in rural Africa, or an underserved community here in the UK. She wakes up every morning eager to learn, to dream, to grow — but when her period comes, she is forced to stay home.
- No Sanitary Product
- No Support
- No Dignity
How many lessons are missed?
How many dreams delayed?
How many futures compromised?
All because of something that is natural, normal, and yet denied to her?
This is not just a story from far away — it is happening here, in our cities, in our communities, to girls who are part of our own African diaspora.
Period poverty robs girls of education, confidence, health, and opportunity.
It steals their right to thrive.
The SikaDwa Foundation refuses to accept this
Through our Her Dignity, Her Future initiative, we come together to change this reality. Our goal is to raise £10,000 annually to fund programs that give these girls the tools, support, and dignity they need to flourish:
Mentorship programs, reusable sanitary products, and school support, so girls can attend school every day with confidence and pride.
School uniforms, shoes, and learning materials, ensuring all children, regardless of circumstance, have access to quality education.
Basic health screenings and medical support for families, strengthening the wellbeing of communities across Africa and the UK.
Beyond menstrual and educational support, we are committed to advancing the holistic well-being of women. We promote initiatives that focus on mental health, reproductive health education, economic empowerment, and workplace wellness. Through capacity-building workshops and community outreach, we help women develop resilience, confidence, and sustainable livelihoods.
These initiatives fully aligned with the
UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
